1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Knots (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Knots is a web application for managing tasks and goals. It integrates with third-party services including Monday.com, Slack, Granola, Gmail, and Anthropic's Claude to collect, process, and organize action items on your behalf.

The Service is currently provided free of charge. The Service operator reserves the right to introduce paid plans or modify the availability of the free tier at any time, with reasonable notice to users.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Account and Access

To use Knots, you must connect your Monday.com account and configure a Claude Cowork recurring task. You are responsible for maintaining the security of all accounts and credentials used in connection with the Service, including your Monday.com, Slack, Granola, Gmail, and Anthropic accounts.

You agree not to share your access credentials or allow unauthorized persons to use the Service through your accounts. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your connected accounts.

4. How the Service Works

Knots operates by running a scheduled task through Anthropic's Claude Cowork that scans your connected services for action items assigned to you. The process works as follows:

  1. A recurring Claude Cowork task scans your Slack mentions, Granola meeting transcripts, Monday Notetaker recordings, and Gmail inbox at intervals you configure.
  2. Claude's AI analyzes the content of these messages, meetings, and emails to identify action items directed at you.
  3. Identified action items are written to a Monday.com board, which serves as the data backend for the Knots app.
  4. The Knots web app reads from this Monday.com board and presents the action items in your Inbox for review and management.

You understand that the AI-based extraction is automated and may occasionally misidentify, miss, or incorrectly categorize action items. AI systems are probabilistic and can make mistakes, including hallucinating tasks that were not requested, misattributing action items to the wrong person, or misunderstanding the intent of a message. You are responsible for reviewing all extracted items and should not rely on the Service as your sole task-tracking system for critical obligations.

5. Third-Party Services

Knots depends on the following third-party services, each governed by its own terms and policies:

Knots does not control these third-party services and is not responsible for their availability, performance, data handling practices, or changes to their APIs or terms. You must independently agree to and comply with the terms of service of each third-party provider. If any third-party service becomes unavailable or changes its API, the functionality of Knots may be affected without notice.

6. Data Processing and AI

By using the Service, you authorize Knots and its underlying AI components to access, read, and process the content of your Slack messages, Granola transcripts, Monday Notetaker recordings, and Gmail emails for the purpose of extracting action items.

The AI processing is performed by Anthropic's Claude through the Cowork scheduled task you configure. Knots itself does not independently store or retain the raw content of your messages or emails beyond what is written to your Monday.com board. The data handling practices of Anthropic, Monday.com, and the other connected services are governed by their respective privacy policies.

You acknowledge that AI-generated outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. AI systems can and do make mistakes, including misinterpreting messages, extracting action items that were not intended for you, missing action items that were intended for you, or producing incorrect translations. The Service does not guarantee the completeness, correctness, or reliability of extracted action items. You should treat all AI-extracted action items as suggestions that require your review and judgment.

Knots and its original content, features, and functionality are the property of the Service operator. The action items and data generated through your use of the Service belong to you, subject to the terms of the third-party platforms where that data is stored (e.g., Monday.com).

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The Service operator does not warrant that:

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM MISSED, INCORRECTLY IDENTIFIED, OR ERRONEOUSLY GENERATED ACTION ITEMS, REGARDLESS OF THE CAUSE OF ACTION OR THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE. IN CONSIDERATION OF THE FREE NATURE OF THE SERVICE, YOU AGREE THAT THE SERVICE OPERATOR'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED $0 (ZERO DOLLARS). YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THIS LIMITATION OF LIABILITY IS A MATERIAL TERM OF THESE TERMS AND THAT THE SERVICE WOULD NOT BE PROVIDED WITHOUT IT.

Without limiting the foregoing, the Service operator shall not be liable for any harm, loss, or damage arising from AI errors or inaccuracies, including missed deadlines, overlooked tasks, incorrectly attributed action items, or any other consequence of relying on AI-generated output. The Service is a convenience tool and is not a substitute for reading your own messages, emails, and meeting notes.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Service operator from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by disconnecting your accounts and disabling the Claude Cowork scheduled tasks. The Service operator may suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

Upon termination, your action items stored in Monday.com will remain on your Monday.com board unless you delete them. The Service operator has no obligation to maintain, export, or delete data stored on third-party platforms on your behalf.

13. Changes to Terms

The Service operator reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated by updating the effective date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Tel Aviv, Israel. By using the Service, you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to venue in such courts.
